Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Lesson 1: Ciao! Hi! Greetings, courtesy expressions, and an introduction a few key basic grammar concepts.
- Lesson 2: Non capsico. I don’t understand. Survival expressions you’ll need to get by.
- Lesson 3: Di Dove sei? Where are you from? Questions, essere (to be), subject pronouns, negation with non (not).
- Lesson 4: Come si dice? How do you say it? Italian pronunciation and spelling.
- Lesson 5: Che cos’è? What is it? Basic objects, articles un, uno, una, un’ (a/an) and il, lo, la, l’ (the), introduction to gender and agreement.
- Lesson 6: Uno, due, tre. One, two, three. Numbers, plurals, article i, gli, le (the).
- Lesson 7: Ho fame! I’m hungry! Avere (to have), expressions with avere, basic structures.
- Lesson 8: La mia famiglia. My family. Family terms, possessives like il mio/la mia (my).
- Lesson 9: Contento o triste? Happy or sad? Descriptive words for people, adjective agreement and endings, nationalities.
- Lesson 10: Verde, bianco, rosso. Green, white, red. Descriptive words for things, colors, more adjective agreement, demonstratives questo, questa (this) and questi, queste (these).
- Lesson 11: Guardo la TV di sera. I watch TV in the evening. Basic verbs, –are verb conjugation, time expressions.
- Lesson 12: Che lavoro fai? What do you do for work? Jobs, expressions related to work, the verb fare (to do), expressions that use fare.
- Lesson 13: Voglio qualcosa da mangiare. I want something to eat. Food and eating vocabulary, the verbs mangiare (to eat) and bere (to drink), polite requests, volere (to want), avere bisogno di (to need).
- Lesson 14: Siamo a casa. We’re at home. Vocabulary for the home, the preposition in (in) and its contractions nel, nella, nello, nell’, etc., c’è (there is) and ci sono (there are).
- Lesson 15: Prendo il treno tutti i giorno. I take the train every day. Basic verbs, –ere conjugation, forms of molto (many, much) and tutto (all, every).
- Lesson 16: Dov’è la metropolitana? Where’s the subway? Vocabulary for around town, stores, shopping, andare (to go), the preposition a (to, at) and its contractions al, alla, allo, all’, etc., the preposition di (of) and its contractions del, della, dello, dell’, etc.
- Lesson 17: Quando finisci di lavorare? When do you finish working? More common verbs, –ire conjugation.
- Lesson 18: Che ore sono? What time is it? Time expressions, telling time, days, months, dates, brief introduction to the past tense.
- Lesson 19: Ho una domanda. I have a question. Question words and question formation, the demonstrative quello (that), the forms of quanto (how much/how many).
- Lesson 20: Non mi piace la pioggia. I don’t like rain. Weather expressions, the present continuous with stare, constructions with piacere (like, to please) and indirect object pronouns mi, ti, le, and so on.
