In this post we’re going to look at Korean vocabulary and expressions that will help you talk about computers, emails, social media, and the internet.

Let’s start with some basic vocabulary that will help you talk about computer hardware: 컴퓨터 keompyuteo (a computer), 노트북, 랩탑 noteubug, laebtab (a laptop), 데스크탑 deseukeutab (a desktop), 스크린, 화면 seukeulin, hwamyeon (a screen), 키보드, 자판 kibodeu, japan (a keyboard), 마우스 mauseu (a mouse), 마우스 패드 mauseu paedeu (a mouse pad), 프린터 peulinteo (a printer), 배터리, 건전지 baeteoli, geonjeonji (a battery), 전원 코드 jeon-won kodeu (a power cord), 웹캠 webkaem (a webcam), 마이크 maikeu (a microphone), 헤드폰hedeupon (a headset), 스마트폰 seumateupon (a smartphone), 태블릿 taebeullit (a tablet).

이메일 imeil Email
Now let’s look at some vocabulary that you can use to talk about email: 이메일 imeil (an email), 이메일을 보내다 imeil-eul bonaeda (to send an email), 이메일을 받다 imeil-eul badda (to get/receive an email), 첨부 cheombu (attachment), 사진/ 파일을 첨부하다 sajin/pail-eul cheombuhada (to attach a photo/file), 이메일에 답장하다 imeil-e dabjanghada (to reply to an email), 전체 답장하다 jeonche dabjanghada (to reply all), 이메일을 전달하다 imeil-eul jeondalhada (to forward an email).

문자 메시지와 앱 munja mesijiwa aeb Text Messages and Apps
If you’re sending a text message instead of an email, you’ll need to know: 문자 munja (a text), 메시지 mesiji (a message), 문자를 보내다munjaleul bonaeda (to send a text), 문자를 받다 munjaleul badda (to get/receive a text), 문자에 답하다 munja-e dabhada (to answer a text), 단체 문자를 보내다 danche munjaleul bonaeda (to send a group text), 앱 aeb (an app),앱을 다운로드 하다 aeb-eul daunlodeu hada (to download an app), 앱을 업데이트 하다 aeb-eul eobdeiteu hada (to update an app), 앱을 삭제하다 aeb-eul sagjehada (to delete an app).
