Let’s start with things you might want to say before you have something to eat or drink.

(Eu) Estou com fome.
I’m hungry.
Estou morrendo de fome!
I’m starving! (lit, I’m dying of hunger.)
Estou com sede.
I’m thirsty.

The meals in Portuguese are o café da manhã (breakfast), o almoço (lunch), and o jantar (dinner). A snack is uma comidinha or um lanche.
